SRV was just too cool for this world. May he rest in peace and may his GREAT music live on. His influence will carry on.

I'm sure he's playing his guitar somewhere else. He was an amazing musician.

One of the greats he mimicked the most was Hendrix. He'd say as much himself.

SRV could play circles around Hendrix on a 12 string. They're probably jammin together right now.

SRV resurrected the blues. He should be credited with defining what Texas blues really is. When I heard the news I popped in his great instrumental of "Little Wing" and added my tears to those falling from the sky.

The news of his death depressed me for days. I sat under his statue in Austin a couple of days ago and pondered some "what ifs" for a while.

He didn't "mimic" anyone. His guitar playing and music was uniquely his and his alone.

"Well its flooding down in Texas,

all the telephone lines are down..."
