                  That's the only saving grace cowboy, i wasn't alone.

                  You know......we turned out pretty good even though most of us were party animals back then. Most of us worked, bought homes, raised families, and were very productive citizens. We just knew how to have a good time. Sometimes i miss those days.

                      NO, i don't miss the hangovers either, that the worst feeling in the world, that and wondering what kind of an idiot you made of yourself.

                      I know where some of the old group are, REHAB! Sad, they couldn't pull themselves out and sunk in the quagmire that is Coke! 55-60 year old men and women, looking like they are 75 nad 80. I can't believe they did that to themselves, but Thank God they aren't the norm, most of us did well for ourselves.

                        Yeah I ran across a woman I lived with for a few years. I didn't recognize her. She and her sister got into crack after she and I split up. She looked like 40 miles of bad road.

                        She was still hoping to get back together and give it one more chance. She didn't get the part that I had sobered up and enjoyed it.

                        My daughters saw her and just started crying, they couldn't believe how torn up she had become.

  Brings back good memories.Don Henley got me backstage passes once.been to over 350 concerts and this one stuck out.been backstage a few times and we were treated like just one of the gang.

  And I won't spoil their clean image by telling you what we consumed besides food that night.LMAO

      Those were the days.I went to so many concerts back then because it wasn't any more than going to a movie. My first concert was 3.50 so we went to see everybody. That's why I got such a wide variety of musical tastes.

      I've partied with YES,Styx,Aerosmith,Blue Oyster Cult,Black Sabbath,Deep Purple,Rush, Foghat and the Outlaws.

        I know, concert tickets used to be cheap, now they are ridiculously priced.

        Allison Krauss and robert Plant are going to be here in a couple of months, cheapest seats are 48.00, nose bleed section!

          Didn't know Doc carpenter. I basically got my start in 73' and then I was young. I was very tall so I was accepted in my older brothers crowd.I basically hit the scene when hard Rock was coming into the light. My first three concerts were YES,Alice Cooper, and Blue Oyster Cult with special guest Aerosmith(only drew 3000.)

          Yeah and those were the days about cops. If you didn't fight,weren't totally nude anything went.Sometimes the pot smoke was so thick you could hardly see the stage.

              Wrong area. Cincinnati is where I'm at and it's not known for being on the usual tour list. Late 60's was pretty early for me.I was buying Monkees,Hermans Hermits and Simon and garfunkel Albums.

                Just wondering,Doc was Aerosmiths road manager in '73,an aquaintance of mine,I went along to help with equipment many times...there's a reason they called him "Doc".He also managed the Beaver Brown Band (On the Dark Side).

                Many fun memories ...and non memories from that time.

                  All I remember about this particular incident was I recognized Stephen Tylers face(handsome), they were drinking real cheap wine and I'd had let's say some Hawaiin smokeable substance and after smoking it Steve looked real blasted and mumbled "I don't think I can go on."LMAO

          heart of the matter reminds me of my ex, who passed away 2 years ago at only 39.... now that i think of it, NY minute applies as well.

          jimmy buffett

          the reason is, i feel that these 3 tell stories about what it is to grow up in america, whether its in the heartland, or the concrete jungle. i think they speak of things that are so uniquely american that while foreigners may appreciate them, they will never fully understand them.

  Good song but the first I heard and one of my favorites, Hotel California, sticks in my mind and runs circles around a lot of music,I was still recreating with mda when I heard the song and what a musical treat it was,

  there are few groups that climb from nowhere and just keep climbing, the Moody Blues was on channel 54 other week playing with orchestra accompany and they were looking very fit, I can't believe the drummer can still keep going that long,
