I like the lyrics in this one, sort of like a mantra of sorts.

Saw them on a small stage in DC in the late 80's (the old 9:30 Club)...good stuff. Have this album actually. I thought I'd heard something about them getting back together, don't know though.

When this album came out, I was working at a AOR/Classic Rock hybrid station in Fayetteville, AR. The Godfathers were obviously never going to make it onto their playlist (this was 1988) so it somehow magically appeared in my record collection. I couldn't take this off of my turntable for six months! Thanks, BB!

Scott, I'm glad you've heard of them! I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one who's ever heard of this band. You're very welcome!

A fxxking great band.
The whole package is there.
A super strong bass and drum base. A growling Les Paul with a player that J Beck would appreciate topped off with a Strat that dances and sings with Hendrix like lines done ala Keith Richards phrasing, all wrapped in a Stone's/Beck,Bogart&Appice type delivery that even Mick&Keith would love. Then you have the singer; clear, concise, in key and dripping with plain, yet dark, sarcasm. This ain't your daddy's disco...lumb.
Love the words:
.."when they cut me I don't bleed
...cause I don't get what I need."
Shame they didn't make it 'big' in the popular music scene.
But no one ever said MOR radio and music for profit was about talent.
Thanks BB for reminding me about this band. It would be nice if they 'came back' just to Kick some Axs for the principal of the whole thing.

Thanx for reminding us how old we are BB!
Although in reality its looking more like: Birth, play, school, play , work, play, work, play, work, play, work, ouch that hurts, work, i don't think I can do that again, work, work, death.
I'll keep you upated.
